Clare and Dean's Wedding Gift To Southern Africa's Children

Clare and Dean's Wedding

Clare and Dean’s Wedding Gift List

Clare and Dean have chosen to ask for wedding gifts which will support orphaned boys and girls living at Hope School in Tanzania.  A charity that they have both long supported.

Below is a list of the items we most need to provide a safe and secure home and the best possible care for each of the children we look after at Hope School.

It is simple to purchase a wedding gift for Clare and Dean; click on the item/s below you would like and complete the gift aid declartion if you are a UK tax payer.  You will then be taken onto a secure payments page where you are able to reference the gift as you wish.

Alternatively you may wish to make a donation of your chosen amount and we will, with Dean and Clare and the project, agree to use the money towards a larger project such as the much needed water well and pump and dormitory boundary.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a way for charities to increase the value of monetary gifts from UK taxpayers by claiming back the basic rate tax paid by the donor. It can increase the value of donations by a quarter at no extra cost to the donor. Please complete the Gift Aid declaration and return to Southern Africa's Children.

You can also complete an electronic version of the Gift Aid Declaration here.

More Information:

Southern Africa’s Children has been working with Hope School since 2002.  Hope School is a home and school for orphaned boys and girls in Shinyanga, Tanzania.  Today we provide long term care for fifty eight orphans.  Our orphans attend Hope School alongside scholarship and fee paying students.  Today 197 children attend Hope School.  In 2008 Hope School was placed as the thrid best primary school in Tanzania.  Despite these amazing outcomes the school is still basic compared to most primary schools in the UK.  Southern Africa’s Children works constantly to receive funds for basic child care items such as food and clothes as well as sports and educational items to enrich the children’s lives.

Water borhole and pump:

Currently Hope School Dormitories are connected to water however the water is expensive  and therefore the children are unable to use this water to harvest crops and grow fruit trees.  Importantly the children and staff are restricted to limited water use for bathing and washing clothes etc.  We would like to construct a borehole on the dormitory site to enable the children to harvest their own vegetables and fruit which will increase their nutritional intake.

Dormitory Boundary:

At present both the boys and girls dormitory are situated next to each other on a donated piece of land about 1/4 mile from Hope School.  We need the funds to build a boundary around this land to ensure a secure home for our children.

If you would like more information regarding our management of funds then please do contact us with your question/s on 01933 664091 or via our contact us form.
